First dance class of the new year and Kara was looking festive in her new furry hooded jacket, ‘Shake it off’ leotard and rain boots!
As we headed to the car I couldn’t resist this little photo op!

Big Bear Cabin

Over the weekend, my family headed to a wonderful cabin in Big Bear. I checked the weather for 2 weeks and knew it would be brisk overnight but expected 50's in the day. We brought food for BBQing, balls for playing outdoors. We planned on hiking to the lake... then it snowed!!! SNOW!!! My youngest two, having spent most/all of their lives living in L.A. had only ever experienced The Grove and Disneyland 'snow.' They were ecstatic to say the least! My youngest said "Is it gonna to be Christmas?" Naturally if there is snow it must be Christmas right?!? They ran around in the snow in their jammies and rain boots all morning before heading back in to have hot cocoa by the fire. We can not wait to go back up there in the winter and build a snowman!
Tahoe City

During our vacation we headed to Tahoe City for a day. We spent the day with family, walked at the beach and played at the park. It was a chilly but beautiful day. We had been hoping for a little snow for the kids to play in but there was only a dusting up at the peeks that day. Hoping this big storm this week brings the Seirra's lots and lots of snow that will stay long into the spring! Not sure if these two had ever been in 30 degree temps before. If running around at the park didn't warm them up these hot chocolates from Rosie's Cafe sure did!

It's almost spring and that means its will be warm enough for shoots like the one I had last year with Miss Molly. Molly celebrated her 1st birthday at the Santa Monica pier with me. We played at the water, up on the pier and even had a giant cupcake! Because what is a 1st birthday photoshoot without some cake? Lets book your babies Santa Monica pier and beach shoot this spring!
