Ari Is One! – Bay Area Children’s Photographer
Happy Birthday sweet Ari girl!
I was so excited to do a surprise photoshoot of her for her daddy on a recent trip to Northern CA.
We drove through the valley and found the perfect poppy filled field for her 1st birthday pictures.
We played and chased her around the flowers and paths.
I hope now that her daddy is back on land that she is getting lots of daddy cuddles!
I can’t wait to see you again Ari!

Beach House! - Oxnard Family Photography

My family has spent many days at the beach but this one was special. My husbands Aunt invited us to a beach house in Oxnard. We spent the day in and out of the water, playing ball on the beach, bike riding (and a bicycle built for 2 riding!!) and of course hanging out with family. Since that weekend my kids, and I, have been boogie boarding weekly! Soo much fun. Excited for many more beach days, and shoots, before the year ends!

I resolve to kiss my babies on the beach more. Living just a short drive from the Pacific Ocean I am just not there enough. It is nice enough year round that there is no reason that we can't make it a few times a month instead of once every few months. So in 2014 I will take my kids to the beach. Often. Also while doing my favorite photos of 2013 it was very obvious that I photograph my daughter far more than I do my sons. Part of the reason is my daughter is willing to model. She enjoys dressing up. She has so many fun cute clothes that I want to play dress up with her! My boys are less interested in photoshoots. Now because I don't want to force them to take photos I will learn to photograph them just the way they are. Letting go of MY vision for them. Don't get me wrong I am sure I will take advantage of any oppertunity to photograph Kara, cause ummm, tutus. I will just make time for the boys more as well! Yesterday I did worked on both of these. Little Blueberries - Los Angeles Lifestyle Photography

My daughter LOVES cooking. I don't. But I do love photographing her in the kitchen. This morning she made blueberry pancakes for her and her younger brother. I captured it..and cleaned up :) Here is our little recipe (measurements were "eyed") Trader Joe's Multi Gain Mix Hemp Milk Organic Blueberries (berries found for only $1.99 at Whole Foods last night during my late night wine run.. SCORE!) Coconut Oil (for the pan) Butter Syrup ENJOY!
