First dance class of the new year and Kara was looking festive in her new furry hooded jacket, ‘Shake it off’ leotard and rain boots!

My family had a big week! On the 27th my daughter celebrated her 8th birthday. We had a little family celebration with the most delicious cake from Portos, and took her to the CA Science Center for the afternoon. Today though, is when her big celebrations starts. Grandma flew in late last night and this morning, all 3 of my kids headed to CAMP GRANDMAS! They will spend then next week camping in the Redwoods! Since I am going to miss them all so much, and because I hadn't done birthday pictures for Luke or Lex yet (bad photographer mommy) I found time one morning, bribed them all with leftover birthday cake for breakfast, and took these pictures! I am so in love with how they came out. While I am going to miss them like crazy, I am so excited for their adventure and plan on enjoying the clean quiet house with my husband while they are gone. This week is going to fly by and it will quickly be back to the summer madness.

I met this family last year at their beautiful Pasadena home. In their yard with tomatoes growing and cloth diaper hung on the line to dry... The sun light shining through their blond hair and their happy babies and DOG made for the perfect family photos! The family dog... such a giant love! He let the kids crawl, climb and even sit on him without any fuss. He would just give me this look like... "yeah.. First of all, WELCOME to my new website! After a week of serious frustration, some snapping at my husband and a few tears that were thankfully followed by "AH-HA!" moments I am so happy to finally share it with the world. Who knew I was a web designer?? I sure didn't! I had been telling my self for a few years that to have a site like this I would have to pay for it. When in fact.. I just needed to quit Facebook for a week and FOCUS! My website and blog are now ONE! No more confusing back and forth for you or me. I hope you will have a look around, but keep in mind I am still adding photos to galleries and making small tweeks! To celebrate (really to thank my kids and husband for sticking it through "Christina pretending to be a website builder week") we headed to the beach for a much needed family day at the beach.
