This session touches me on so many levels. This mama, this baby, that light! Simply angelic.

This Northern California family are dear friends of ours. Jon went to high school with my husband and was a groomsmen in our wedding. His beautiful wife Jess is expecting her 3rd daughter Emily any day now! In August I made a special trip North for this session.  It was so worth the drive. Despite the very hot day Jess looked amazing(as always)! I can’t wait to meet Miss Emily on our next trip!

This little session feels so fall and September to me! Let’s pretend it wasn’t shot on a hot August night!

I had a great evening romping around Griffith Park with these sweet brothers.

What better way to remember your trip than with a photoshoot on the last day! That is exactly what this family visiting Santa Moncia from Toronto did! This shoot was extra special this family was also celebrating their oldest daughters birthday!  It was fun splashing around in the ocean with them and watching these sisters interact was so sweet! I hope to some day meet and photograph them again! Next time maybe in Canada!

Oh this sweet mama Kat! I met her at the 2013 Latch and Link event in Long Beach and knew right away I just HAD to photograph her again! I was lucky enough to have her choose me to do her maternity photos while she waits for her sweet baby Ever to come Eathside. We went to a beautiful park in Long Beach and took these lovely images of her belly and her family. Lets all send her lots of birth love as she is very close to welcoming little Ever to her family at her upcoming homebirth.

I can’t wait to meet you sweet Ever.

A loving wife. A gentle mother. A blessing to so many L.A. moms. I am so proud to call this woman my friend!

I wish so much love to this little family and am so excited to watch them grow up together.

Little Z is getting so big! This was my 3rd time photographing his little family. This time they traveled from their new East Coast home and made sure to have photos done on their trip! It was wonderful catching up and chasing Z around to catch a few pictures! 1 and a half year olds sure are busy!! I am already looking forward to more family shoots with these guys in the future!

Last week in Long beach, 750 people came together in support of breastfeeding at Latch & Link Long beach.
408 adults and 342 kids!
That’s 268 mothers, 115 fathers, 190 infants, 152 children, and 25 support people!

Their goal was to help bring support to breastfeeding mothers and babies.

At 11am, as part of The Big Latch-On, 162 babies at this location latched on and nursed from their mamas!

Throughout the day I had the honor of photographing 111 of these mamas!

I am truly honored that these mothers sat in front of my camera. By doing so, we are helping normalize what feeding a baby looks like for many moms!

This session is from last years National Breastfeeding Month sale. Her photos can be seen on my main page but I just noticed I hadn’t blogged them yet.

This mama radiated motherhood at her session with me. Her gentle parenting (and perfect livingroom window light) quickly became the highlight of our session when Westley was more interested in checking me out than nursing.

The thing I love about nursing sessions is they are so much more than pictures of a baby at the breast. They show a bond and connection between a mother and her child. Older nurslings are often distracted by my camera at nursing sessions but I take my time and photograph them playing and cuddling with their mothers as well as nursing.

In celebration of National Breastfeeding Month I am offering $100 off all nursing mother and baby sessions booked in August!
